The
purpose of the Department of Defense Partners in Flight LISTSERV, DODPIF-L,
is to facilitate the timely flow of information that is
beneficial to the DoD Partners in Flight (PIF) mission.
That mission is to support the natural resource managers at DoD sites to
more effectively address migratory and resident bird issues, and incorporate
bird habitat conservation plans into the integrated natural resource management
plan (INRMP) process.
This list should NOT be used for bird sightings, trip reports, or
personal exchanges. Other avenues
of communication are more appropriate for this.
The list SHOULD be used for items that will benefit natural resource
managers with bird conservation issues, such as requests for information or
assistance, meeting announcements relevant to the DoD PIF natural resource
community, and exchanges of management or policy issues relating to birds. Information that will benefit DoD/non-DoD partnerships is
welcome.
The DoD Partners in Flight LISTSERV is
a public list, and is open to anyone who is interested in DoD Partners in Flight
activities. There are subscribers
both inside and outside DoD. For
that reason, information that is classified, internal, private, or otherwise
sensitive in nature should NOT be sent over this list.
